The Organic Oscar Young Entrepreneur Program (OOYEP) has been officially launched by Organic Oscar, a company known for their organic, all-natural, biodegradable dog shampoo and conditioner. Founder and CEO of the Eastridge Group of Staffing Companies, Robert Svet, and his daughter, Marie Svet, Organic Oscar Founder, are leading the OOYEP initiative.
Offering practical business, entrepreneurial, and marketing experience to its students, the OOYEP also provides resume experience and students can earn money by selling Organic Oscar products.
Using her decade-long experience in the cosmetics and perfume industry, Marie Svet left Europe for California in 2007 and decided to formulate a high-quality yet affordable pet shampoo.
Robert Svet commented, “Organic Oscar is thrilled to debut OOYEP to students and those interested in achieving enrichment and opportunity through work. We're confident that OOYEP will provide students and many others with essential skills that often determine career success, yet are frequently left out of classroom curriculum."
Students seeking summer work in the San Diego, California, area are considered ideal for the program. No experience is necessary, flexible schedules exist, and the company provides training. With no out-of-pocket expenses, the program targets those interested in entrepreneurship, sales, and business. Participants are required to be 16 years old or older to apply; those under 18 must have parental consent.
Organic Oscar products are made in the United States with biodegradable ingredients designed to clean and soothe a dog’s skin. The bone-shaped bottles containing the product are 100 percent recyclable plastic. A portion of all sales benefits organizations and events that support humane animal treatment.
