The latest edition of Traveling with Your Pet: The AAA
PetBook has been released and is available in both print and digital versions.
The American Automobile Association (AAA) is North America’s largest motoring and leisure travel organization with more than 53 million members. They were founded in 1902 and are a not-for-profit advocate for safety and security of all travelers.
With recent reports from PetRelocation.com revealing 47 percent of respondents planning to travel with their pets in the next three months, the AAA book comes at a timely point.
Wood, executive editor, AAA Travel Publishing, shared, “A great vacation with pets requires careful planning. The last thing travelers want to find on arrival is their pet exceeds the hotel's size limit or requires extra fees. AAA collects these details to help prevent unwelcome surprises. We're pleased to provide traveling pet owners with handy tips and insight along with reliable travel information."
The book includes AAA approved and Diamond rated accommodations nationwide and in Canada. Listings in the book include pet sizes permitted, fees, conditions, as well as properties for every rating level. There are 600 pet-friendly campgrounds listed plus dog parks and national landmarks that accept pets. In addition to planning information, practical resources and references for pet travelers is also provided such as emergency animal clinics, pet etiquette, and insurance information.
In addition to the launch of the book, AAA is sponsoring their annual AAA PetBook photo contest in order to showcase pet travelers in action. Dorothy Dowling, senior vice president of marketing and sales for Best Western, revealed that pets are a part of guests’ families, so they are proud to be listed in the AAA PetBook and to be a sponsor for the contest.
