America’s Finest Pet Doors, a company that makes dog and cat doors for walls, windows, and residential entryways, recently launched a new pet door flap cleaning product and protectant line.
The parent company of America’s Finest Pet Doors and PetDoors.com, Patio Pacific, Inc., introduced a panel type of pet door in 1976, which was for sliding glass doors. Because sliding glass door tracks are not all the same height, the “instant” pet door was embraced with its adjustable height capability.
According to America’s Finest Pet Door, industry competitors generally fail to address cleaning products and protectants for pet door flaps. Since they are exposed to ultraviolet rays, vinyl door flaps in particular can discolor and wear down with time. Using the protectant spray and regularly cleaning them helps in reducing the amount of times the flap needs to be replaced.
The founder of PetDoors.com and its parent company, Patio Pacific, Alan Lethers, has been marketing pet doors for sliding glass doors since the mid 1970’s. One of the company’s revolutionary products is the Endura Flap.
Located in the San Luis Obispo, California, area, Pet Doors now carries Aerospace Protectant, a product designed to protect against wear and tear on the flap by consistent exposure to UV rays.
According to Lethers, “Offering cleaning solutions as well as UV protectants is another way we look to be a leader in the pet door sector. These solutions add value, helping customers proactively enhance the longevity of their pet door.”
The company makes pet doors for up-and-down sliding sash windows, offers custom-sized pet doors, and they carry pet doors from small to Giant Sized for varying sizes of dogs.
