Three Programs for Pet Industry Leaders Receive Awards
Programs developed for Bayer Animal Health, Nestle Purina, and Novartis Animal Health by LifeLearn, Inc., recently received three Communicator Awards of Distinction.
LifeLearn was formed in 1993 as part of the evolution of the Veterinary Continuing Education Program of the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. Their mission statement is to “Bring Learning to Life” with resources ranging from science and design to technology and engaging easy-to-use programming. LifeLearn owns their own proprietary educational and communications products.
For Bayer, LifeLearn developed the “Bayer Parasite Scene Investigation” as a spinoff to the popular television show, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. It was designed to help vet techs identify, diagnose, and treat the most common parasites of pets.
The Nestle Purina Veterinary Diets Challenge was developed by LifeLearn as a computerized game for industry trade show attendees to use while learning about pet nutrition.
For Novaris, LifeLearn developed a team-based activity called “It’s a Pets Life” designed to educate vets and their staff about the prevention and treatment of parasites in pets.
Leah Stephenson, chief creative officer at LifeLearn, remarked, “Every educational program, meeting, and event we produce is geared toward enhancing the education of our clients' target audiences to achieve corporate goals, and we're thrilled to receive this recognition for our creative, results-oriented work.”
A privately held company, LifeLearn’s largest shareholder is the University of Guelph. As part of their electronic and multimedia format products, LifeLearn offers e-learning professional development and team training, client communications, consumer education via MyPetEd and more, and corporate solutions for clients in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
