VetEnvoy and Animal Care Technologies Announce Partnership
A joint venture has been announced between VetEnvoy, Inc., and Animal Care Technologies (ACT) to develop a communication network between animal health care suppliers and veterinary caregivers. The goal is to create a single portal to assist vets with a variety of services. Using practice management software, vets can exchange information more easily and efficiently.
Goals of the venture include information and data access improvement in order to manage veterinary practices, workflow process automation and simplification, administrative cost and data processing error reduction, and increased profits.
Kevin Grant, CEO of VetEnvoy, shared, “Accurate, timely information is the lifeblood of the veterinary services industry. Whether communicating treatment needs to the pet owner or having access to sources of diagnostic information, veterinary caregivers require the ability to quickly find and distribute information to deliver the highest quality of care.”
VetEnvoy is headquartered in Portland, Maine, and is the official North American licensee of the VetEnvoy software platform developed by LiveTime 24/7 LTD. It is believed the paperless applications affected by the new technology from VetEnvoy will be available by the end of 2012.
Animal Care Technologies is headquartered in Denton, Texas and is considered a leader in web-based solutions with products such as ACT Staff Training, the HR Toolkit, VSurv client survey tool, WebSource, and the Pet Info Center. Their involvement in the veterinary industry has been ongoing for over 10 years.
David Grant, DVM, CEO of ACT, reported that VetEnvoy's leading-edge connectivity platform will help end users with efficient transfer of data and will impact the daily operational needs of veterinarians.
