BlogPaws 2012 Speaker Makes Guest Appearance on Anderson Cooper Show
BlogPaws guest speaker, Eldad Hagar, along with his wife Audrey Hager and YouTube sensation (and rescue dog) Fiona make their national debut on the Anderson Cooper talk show today.
The couple runs a non-profit animal rescue based in Los Angeles called Hope for Paws. The couple videotapes the pets they rescue with before and after footage, and the video posted of Fiona has become a viral hit. In the video, Fiona is seen transforming from a grey mess of mats and fleas, blind and scared, into a bright, happy little dog.
Over the course of four days, the group was able to raise $4,500 for a surgery performed on Fiona’s one eye, with the goal of restoring her vision. Hagar told People magazine the surgery was a success. “For the first time, she made the connection between our voices and our smells to seeing our faces. It's just like being blindfolded all your life and all of a sudden, you're 10 years old and they take your blindfold off. It's just an incredible thing,” he shared.
Special Projects Manager, Kristin Dewey, arranged to have Eldad and Audrey at this year’s conference, where Eldad will speak about The Power of YouTube, along with co-presenters CJ Jackson and Lauren Girard.
