Proctor & Gamble Dog Retires and Fifth Annual Vet Care Academy Held
Proctor & Gamble made news headlines twice this week: first with the retirement of Euka, a 10-year-old Labrador Retriever who held the post of Vice President of Canine Communications. In a second piece of news, P&G hosted the fifth annual P&G Pet Care Academy this week in Cincinnati, Ohio, for veterinary leaders.
A retirement party was held for Euka and an official portrait was unveiled that will remain in the Pet Care wing of the P& G Mason Business Center. Euka spent the last 10 months training the new V.P. of Canine Communications, Griffin, a Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen.
Jason Taylor, external relations manager, P&G Pet Care, shared, “We’ve enjoyed every moment with Euka and will miss her greatly, but we’re all looking forward to a new chapter with Griffin taking the reins as our V.P. of Canine Communications.”
In related news, veterinary leaders came together to share dialogue with P&G Pet Care team members. P&G also donated $5,000 to the American Veterinary Medical Foundation in support of disaster relief efforts.
“This event is designed to generate dialogue between P&G Pet Care team members and veterinarian leaders to further strengthen our innovation programs to help enhance the lives of more dogs and cats,” stated Marcie Campion, scientific relations manager, P&G Pet Care in North America.
