Dog News Daily, an online dog magazine launched in January, 2009, has announced Brie Strohmeyer as their on-camera reporter for the website.
Strohmeyer is the brand spokesperson for Stella & Chewy’s Pet Food. She graduated from Kansas University in 2003 and was discovered by a cameraman for the Dog News Daily. She introduced herself to Alan Siskind, CEO of Dog News Daily, and the rest is history.
According to LJWorld.com, Strohmeyer co-hosted the Golden Collar Awards, where famed dog Uggie of the movie “The Artist” won Best Dog in a Theatrical Film. Strohmeyer was able to converse with celebrities including Carson Kressley, Rebecca Black, and Katherine Heigl at the red carpet gala.
The Dog News Daily features a BFF Club, which is free to join, and includes discounts at the BFF Club Store, invitations to private pre-sales events, a free e-coupon book, personal shopping services, and a BFF Club Card for discounts at dog-friendly locale and related services.
The online magazine reported that within 9 months of their launch, the dog product directory had become the largest online with information and news. The Dog News Daily dog blog was launched in April of 2009, attracting 30,000 unique monthly visitors to the Product Directory. Their demographic studies revealed 75 percent of their visitors were dog owners, with 80 percent being female between the ages of 25 and 64, and having household incomes of over $75,000.
LJWorld.com shared that Strohmeyer moved to Los Angeles about 10 years ago, and her father predicted she would get a job as a celebrity dog reporter. Ironically, her dad shared that growing up they had cats in the family.
