For over 30 years, the publishers of Compendium and Veterinary Technician have educated the veterinary community. In an effort to share information with pet owners as it pertains to pet health, wellness, and lifestyle, the publishers have launched Vetstreet.com. Vetstreet is a turnkey marketing, communications, and educational platform.
Articles provided on the Vetstreet.com website are authored, developed, and reviewed by veterinarians, professional journalists, and animal health experts, including Dr. Marty Becker, dubbed “America’s Veterinarian.” Articles include books, movies and animal news, as well as how to deal with serious medical conditions and raising a puppy or kitten.
Lisa Lausten, vice president of marketing of Vetstreet.com, shared, “We know that the key to a happy, healthy, long-living pet is a well-informed owner and expert veterinary care team. Our goal is to unite pets with vets to expand the number of smart pet owners who are dedicated to keeping their cats and dogs healthy.”
In addition to its editorial content for pet owners, a veterinary directory is also featured for pet parents to assist in finding a vet in their area. An online store will launch later in 2012 for pet owners to order vet-prescribed medications, nutritional products, toys, grooming products, and more. If pet owners want to request appointments with their vet or gain access to their pet’s records, participating Vetstreet veterinarians will be a part of this feature.
A weekly e-newsletter of Vetstreet’s best articles, tips, and advice is also sent out to those who sign up for the Petwire Newsletter.
