Pets Best Insurance Reveals News from Western Veterinary Conference
The annual Western Veterinary Conference was recently held in Las Vegas, Nevada, which hosted approximately 14,000 veterinary professional from around the world. During the conference, Pets Best Insurance announced new pet health insurance options to their plans.
Some of the new plans previously not available through Pets Best Insurance include annual-based plans, cancer-only coverage, accident-only coverage, specialized feline plans and more deductible and co-pay options in select states.
A program targeted exclusively to veterinarians was announced during the conference, where Pets Best hosted an event for over 200 industry trade journal publishers, editors, industry professionals, and veterinarians. The program will offer a 10% discount off Pets Best Health pet insurance policies to clients of referring vets in available areas.
Dr. Jack Stephens, founder of pet health insurance in the United States, shared, “We are excited about our new innovative plans and programs. Our customers will have the flexibility to choose the coverage that is right for them, meets the needs of their pets, and allows them to stay within their budget.” Stephens continued that he feels the discount will be of great value for pet owners, since they will be eligible for a discount after the pet receives a clean bill of health from the vet.
Pets Best Insurance will also continue their “My Vet’s the Best” contest in 2012 with increased cash prizes and more rewards for nominators and winning veterinarians.
Pets Best Insurance was founded by Dr. Jack Stephens, DVM, in 2005. It is underwritten by Independence American Insurance Company, which is a member of The IHC Group. Touting 80 percent of veterinary services reimbursed after deductible and no benefit schedules or fee restrictions, Pets Best Insurance does have limitations and exclusions as all pet insurance plans do.
