Pet Sitters International (PSI) Announces 2011 Platinum Paw Winners
The annual Platinum PAW Awards that are given out by Pet Sitters International (PSI) were recently awarded and sponsored by Comfort Zone products.
Founded in 1994 by Patti Moran, Pet Sitters International (PSI) is the world’s largest educational association for professional pet sitters and represents nearly 7,000 member businesses in the United States, Canada, and abroad. The Platinum PAW Awards were created in 2009.
The 2011 Individual Platinum PAW Award winner was given to Darlene Ehlers, owner of Pampered Pet Home Care in Cleves, Ohio. Ehlers organized the 2011 Puppy Up! Walk, which helped increase awareness of two million dogs in need.
The 2011 Network Platinum PAW Award winner was given to the Central Ohio Professional Pet Sitters (COPPS). COPPS was selected for its participation in a few events that included Pup-a-palooza, Fido Fest, Cat Caper and PSI’s Hungry Bowl Pet Food Drive.
PSI President Patti Moran said, “The community involvement and philanthropic efforts displayed by the 2011 Platinum PAW Award recipients make them shining examples of professionalism in the in-home pet-care industry.”
Prizes for winners include a free registration to PSI’s 2012 Quest for Excellence Convention in Austin, Texas, along with $500 cash and a gift basket of Comfort Zone products.
