Pfizer Reaffirms Commitments to Animal Health Partners
Pfizer Animal Health recently contributed $20,000 to the National Future Farmers of America Association and the American Humane Association (AHA).
Pfizer has been doing this as part of their Commitment to Veterinarians platform , which is a program offering support through education and training, research and development, and helping to investing in the future of veterinary medicine.
Michael McFarland, DVM, DABVP, Group Director of U.S. Veterinary Operations for Companion Animals for Pfizer Animal Health, shared, “We have partnered with American Humane Association to gain a better understanding of the human-animal bond, explore the interface between animals and humans in the treatment of disease and overall health, and improve emergency and disaster relief response in times of need.”
In order for this donation to happen, Pfizer employees pledged to show support of these groups during their annual meeting. Rob Kelly, Vice President, United States Cattle Operations for Pfizer Animal Health, shared that the partnership focuses on helping to connect FFA members with local vets and developing leaders in animal health for the future.
