Friskies has introduced its first-ever dual-species tablet game called “You vs. Cat,” which is available for the iPad and the iPad2 tablet devices.
Designed for two players, one person and one cat, the game is available as a free download at YouvsCat.com and on iTunes. The game is designed to put cat reflexes to the test, where the human launches a maximum of five playing pieces on a field. The pieces will then tumble, bounce around, and collide. Cats score a point for each piece they capture by swiftly tapping the screen. The participant with the fastest reflex wins.
Alison Coburn, Friskies Assistant Brand Manager, “After such positive response to last year’s launch of several Friskies tablet games and apps for cats, we wanted to just keep pushing the play button. With this new game we’re continuing to inspire curiosity and discovery beyond mealtime and bring something completely new to the world of cat play.”
Using paw-eye coordination, cats can engage with their humans in this game. Friskies has several tablets and computer games and apps for cats and their humans. GamesforCats.com launched in 2001 and features games such as Cat Fishing and Party Mix Up. To date, these games have been played over 500,000 times.
The Friskies brand features over 60 dry, wet, and treat products for cats. Nestle Purina PetCare manufactures Friskies and is located at Checkerboard Square in St. Louis, Missouri, where Ralston Purina was founded over 100 years ago. Nestle Purina PetCare is a part of the Swiss-based company, Nestle S.A.
