Advertising Specialty Institute Releases Annual Hottest Pet Gifts List
The annual list of the hottest gifts to get for pets has been released by the Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI) recently.
The ASI has been providing products and services to the promotional products and specialty products industry for the last 50 years. Considered to be the gold standard for suppliers and distributors in the advertising specialty domains, ASI publishes online and print business magazines, product catalogs, websites, and informational directories.
Timothy M. Andrews, ASI president and CEO, shared, “With 62% of U.S. households now caring for a pet, catering to the growing pet market is a smart choice for pet stores, vets, kennels, pet insurance companies, dog groomers and municipal dog parks looking to advertise or reward clients. It’s clear this market reaches far beyond pooper scoopers and water bowls.”
The 2012 top pet gifts selected for the list include a dog hoodie from American Apparel, a zippered/collapsible water bowl with waste bags from Handy Products Line, dog biscuit mix from Ingredients Corporation of America, leash/collar/ball toy from Promopet, wrapped biscuits from A La Carte, a pet first aid kit from Ready 4 Kits, and paw balm and training treats from Solar Advertising.
In addition to pet products, ASI also releases lists including top 10 earth day products, top 10 made in the USA products, and top March madness products.
With items such as treats, natural food, and fashion accessories booming in the pet sector, salaes in the pet industry are expected to reach $74 billion in the year 2015, according to research firm Packaged Facts. Logoed promotional product sales capped at $18.5 billion in 2011.
