PetSafe, an online pet product retailer, will host a K9 Cancer Walk in Sep. in Knoxville. Registration is now open.
Cancer is the number one disease associated with the death of dogs over the age of two. Fifty percent of dogs will develop cancer in their lifetime. PetSafe plans to raise money to combat the issue at the walk on Sept. 18. There will be two walking paths a short one for cancer survivors and older companions and a longer one for active dog enthusiasts and families.
There will be an awards ceremony, veterinary panel, and exhibits. Additional sponsors include John Paul Pet, Petplan Insurance, Fetch, and Orvis.
