As a child, Margaret Ingram had kittens. After owning a terrier for 10 years, a Chihuahua for five years, and sharing ownership of a Golden Retriever for one year, Margaret's love for large and small pets was apparent. Last year she decided to join her love of pets with her passion for writing and publishing by creating Dog Gone News, a monthly publication featuring informative articles, personal stories and events all related to pets.
In Margaret's role as editor of Dog Gone News she spends time socializing with dogs, cats, birds, and more. Margaret received an associate’s degree in Business in 1977. Her writing and publishing career started in 1983 with Oregon Senior News and continued in 1985 with Scio Community News. In 1992 she published Personal History Workbook and in 2005 launched Best of Times, a monthly tabloid newspaper featuring positive, informative, and interesting stories on recreation, hobbies and entertainment, which would later include a section on pets.
Margaret lives just 10 miles from where she grew up in Corvallis, Ore. Her publishing has been distributed from the Oregon Coast to Central Oregon and from Salem to Eugene, Ore.
Dog Gone News welcomes articles and advertising from pet lovers, pet owners, and related businesses.
