Voting is open now through Oct. 3 for the ten finalists of the Purina Pro Plan Rally to Rescue Contest, in which submissions tell of extraordinary pet rescues, their owners and the rescue shelters that helped give the animals a second chance.
The contest is raising awareness about pet adoption and rescue animals. Also, it hopes to support small animal shelters and rescue centers that save animals daily.
The winning organization, pet and owner win a trip to Philadelphia and will featured during The National Dog Show presented by Purina that airs on NBC every Thanksgiving. They will receive VIP passes for the dog show and the rescue organization will receive $5,000 in coupons for Purina pet food.
“These extraordinary dogs and cats serve as inspiration to all of us about the sheer power and determination for survival among rescue pets,” said Robert Tochterman, senior brand manager for Purina® Pro Plan®. “We’re proud to recognize these amazing animals and the dedicated rescue organizations that care for them.”
