Vedante Corporation Reports Increase in Pet Products Sales
Vedante Corporation reports sales in pet products have been on the rise and that they have been consistently ranked as one of the top 10 best sellers in the United States on Amazon.com in their respective categories.
Barbara Kantor, CEO of the Colorado-based company, reports pet product sales jumped 52 percent in 2011 and 36 percent for sales of all products compared to 2010 year-end totals. Kantor attributes a large portion of the success due to their POP Bands and pet products, which provide nighttime safety and visibility while remaining fashionable.
The company reports its best-selling pet product is the super reflective cat collar. Designed with a proprietary patent-pending technology for durability and reflectivity, the leashes reflect up to 1500 feet versus their competitors that reflect from between 200 and 600 feet. Vedante Corporation reports that because the products reflect instead of generate light, batteries are not required and visibility is enabled only when needed.
Kantor claims the inspiration to begin the company began in 2006 when she witnessed a pedestrian getting struck by a car. The pedestrian was unaware of the driver’s inability to see her, so Kantor began studying reflective products on the market. Using her extensive background in fashion design, she developed the Vedante reflective safety product line.
