PetFoodDirect.com announced it has started a PetFoodDirect Rewards Loyalty Program, based on San Francisco-based 500 Friends’ LoyaltyPlus marketing platform, which will offer customers’ rewards for pet product purchases and referrals.
Rose Hamilton, CMO of PetFoodDirect, stated,“In order to show our customers how they’re appreciated, we wanted to make their shopping experience more fun and engaging rather than transactional. With PFD Rewards, we’re able to provide our customers additional value while also giving them an opportunity to give back to the community.”
Since 1997, PetFoodDirect.com has provided their customers with a wide variety of pet supplies delivered to client doorsteps. Offering over 15,000 products with three different websites at www.PetFoodDirect.com, www.NationalPetPharmacy.com and www.ThePetCenter.com, they offer products for large and small dogs and puppies, cats and kittens, birds, rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, and other domestic animals along with an array of pet toys, treats, supplements and accessories.
Participants of the reward program can partake in pet food donations to animal shelters, discounts on future purchases with PFD, and advice from PetMD.com veterinarians. With one point earned for every dollar spent on the site, shoppers online will earn 15 points when enrolling in the program. Incentives are given for repeat deliveries with the website’s auto shipment program.
Initial rewards start with one shelter meal for every 150 points earned, a free PetMD question (generally valued at $11.99) when 1,000 points is reached, $5 off any pet toy or treat once 1,500 points are reached, and $30 off any order of $125 or more once 1,800 points is attained.
